Countdown to the close of polling in the 2024 US Presidential Election

Voters should be aware that the Republican nominee has made it abundantly clear on many occasions that he is opposed to the very concept of democracy itself:

• He directly interfered and tried to intimidate electoral officials into finding extra votes for him during the 2020 election.
• He encouraged open and violent insurrection.
• He condoned the actions of rioters calling for the execution of his then Vice President.
• He has repeatedly vowed to take revenge on his political opponents.
• He has signalled that he intends using the US armed forces against American citizens who he considers his enemies.
• He has publicly boasted that 2024 is the last election his followers will need to vote in because after that: “...we’ll have it fixed so good, you're not gonna have to vote.”

Voters must understand that once you vote away almost 250 years of democracy, you cannot simply vote it back when you change your mind. It is gone.

It’s important to vote. Even if you’re registered in a state that is considered solid red or solid blue there’s always a possibility that it's closer than you think. And then there is popular vote that could help delegitimize the republican candidate and his agenda if he scrapes through with enough college votes.
